Fun at the 2013 Daytime Emmys

Well first I had to get dressed and all dolled up, which is always nerve racking, but luckily I had the help of Genevieve Garner who did this beautiful up do and my makeup!

Special thanks to Sabra Temple for helping pic out an amazing dress by Tom Ford! Shoes are by Charles David, earings by Alexis Bittar, and clutch by Tasha at Nordstroms.

I get my hair color at Kim Vo now.  He’s amazing!

You can also find these awesome earings at Nordstroms.

When we at last we walked the red carpet, it was so crowded we had to wait about 30 minutes to get to the front of the line, then we kept getting bumped for Dr. Oz and Dr. Drew and their crew to come in!  I was standing with Sal Stowers and Denyse Tonyze so we amused ourselves by taking VINE videos and pictures for Instagram which we tweeted out like mad because we are just nuts that way.

Then we met up with a bunch of the other gals and compared our shoes (and the pain they were inflicting) and what’s on our home screens!

(I now have a photo of Tiny Fay saying “You know what? Bitches get stuff done.”)

Me and Jon

But the very BEST part of the evening was seeing my man Jon arrive.  He looked so handsome… and he’s just my favorite person in the whole world.

Rock Star Nails

Forgot to mention the nails! Got them done at Chi Nail Bar in Beverly Hills.  Ask for Jennie! They are in “rock star” glitter.  A rose gold color!  Did my toes the same!

If you like nail art, follow them on Instagram!  Lots of fun inspiration there….

  1. Hi Cady! You looked absolutely gorgeous at the Emmys….loved your whole outfit & makeup, your nails are so pretty. Love the pic of you & Jon, you’re such an adorable couple. The picture of you & your AMC pals is really beautiful.

Overall, the Emmys show could have been better, however, there were some wonderful moments & I’m grateful to HLN for airing it. I enjoyed seeing the AMC/OLTL ads again during the show.

See you on AMC, Cady…take care!

    Franny 🙂

  2. Cady you looked like a beautiful doll in your gown. I appriciate all that you do. You bring love and happiness to many. That’s why I love you so much. You go way out to help others and in sharing things that are happening. I hope you had the time of your life last night. If I ever had the chance to see you in your gown in person you would take my breath away. I hope some day I can find a way to get a autographed picture of you and Tad together. That would mean the world to me. If I could purchase one how would I have to go about it. I will close here for now. Thanks so much for all you do. Say hello to some of you co-stars for me. With love, your fan and friend Carle Wells. XOXO

  3. I am utterly exhausted now, because well… I know how those nights go… adrenaline, adrenaline, adrenaline… nibble nibble… alcohol… nibble… alcohol, alcohol, alcohol… shit my feet hurt… But ahhhhh the glamor and fun of it all. You looked lovely!

  4. What can I say you always look beautiful. And Jon looks so good together.Thought at first you cut your hair again. You have such beautiful hair.I love it when you keep it long.thank you for sharing the photos.See you on AMC…YAY!!!!!!!

  5. You looked striking. I’m glad you had a blast, but I have to speak the truth: for the home viewer, the show was a bit of a mess.

Painful patter is to be expected at awards shows, but there were technical goofs and awkward moments galore. The red couch? I’m guessing that won’t be back next year. Aisha Tyler getting the wrong envelope? Mercifully, she’s funny enough to have saved that one, but what did she get for her trouble? Her name mispronounced by the announcer… twice. George Lucas looked like he wanted to be anywhere else… until he won. Although I had no problem with her, Carrie Fisher’s jokes were certain to be found offensive by the tight-sphinctered.

The whole show’s saving grace? The final f-bomb from Jeanne Cooper, courtesy of her son. I’m not a frequent HLN viewer, so I don’t know if Suzy’s middle name is routinely allowed on that channel, or if Mr. Bernsen caught the censors by surprise. Either way, I’m counting it as a tribute to the new freedoms AMC enjoys, now that its home is on the Internet. 🙂

Speaking of AMC, I hope this latest snag with the union gets resolved to everyone’s satisfaction. My grandfather was an IATSE stagehand, and I was an AFTRAn for a while, so I can see both sides.

Enjoy your hiatus, and I’ll see you on Twitter.
